GrowthSpotter was named one of the best real estate news websites in the nation Wednesday by the National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) during its annual summer conference, held June 1-4 in Miami.

Publications from across the country compete in NAREE awards regardless of their circulation or staff size. Nearly 600 entries were filed in the 76th annual NAREE Journalism Competition this past spring, with awards given in 32 categories spanning print and digital focuses, as well as individual and team efforts.

GrowthSpotter received a prestigious Honorable Mention for Best Website, its third win in the category since the launch in 2015. Editor Laura Kinsler was also recently elected to NAREE’s Board of Directors and moderated a panel discussion among leading office experts during the conference.

“I’m thrilled for this recognition for editor Laura Kinsler and the GrowthSpotter staff,” Orlando Sentinel Executive Editor Roger Simmons said. “They do an amazing job delivering the area’s commercial real estate and development news to their loyal subscribers.”

The Orlando Sentinel launched GrowthSpotter in May 2015 to provide a premium subscription service to the real estate and development industry in Central Florida. Subscribers receive its newsletter on weekdays, and the website archives stories dating back to its inception.

GrowthSpotter has also been recognized five times in 11 years as the best business/finance website in the country by Editor & Publisher, in the “under 1 million visitors per month” category.
