Construction of a new 50,000-square-foot medical office building for the AdventHealth Waterman campus in Tavares is progressing quickly, according to AdventHealth officials, with completion expected in early 2026.
Located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and Huffstetler Drive, within the Lakeview Center medical office park, work on the new $30 million facility began earlier this year with a groundbreaking ceremony in February.
The two-story building is set to include radiology imaging, cardiac rehabilitation, an outpatient lab and space to expand for future medical clinics at the facility.

Back in October, AdventHealth Waterman welcomed two new clinics to the medical office park with the opening of the 7,000-square-foot AdventHealth Centra Care Tavares urgent care facility and AdventHealth Primary Care+ Tavares.
AdventHealth Centra Care offers walk-in care seven days a week for non-emergency illnesses and injuries — such as sprains, infections, or fevers — that cannot be delayed for an appointment, while AdventHealth Primary Care+ provides flexible access to a doctor or advanced practice clinicians. The primary care facility offers evening and weekend hours, same-day appointments, and virtual visits for those with busy lives.
AdventHealth has been busy expanding its footprint across Central Florida in 2025, most recently with the purchase of a 17-acre property in DeLand for a new primary care facility.
According to Volusia County court records, AdventHealth purchased the property for $9.25 million in October.
In a formal announcement last month, AdventHealth said construction is anticipated to begin by the first quarter of 2026 and the facility is expected to begin welcoming patients during the first quarter of 2027.
AdventHealth is also planning a new facility within the 230-acre Wyld Oaks master-planned community in Apopka, according to developer Joseph Beninati.

Beninati announced in August that AdventHealth plans to build an ER within the development and could potentially open future medical office space.
While plans have not yet been finalized, Beninati said AdventHealth intends to be the exclusive healthcare operator within the Wyld Oaks, located at the intersection of Kelly Park Road and Golden Gem Road just west of State Road 429.
The company also has new medical office buildings in the pipeline in Osceola County, in Celebration, and on Pleasant Hill Road, adjacent to the recently completed ER facility.
In April, AdventHealth purchased a five-story, 71,000-square-foot medical office building on Mills Avenue for $60 million.
At the time of the purchase, clinical research company Charter Research occupied approximately 30,000 square feet on the second and third floors of the building and radiologist clinic Encore Imaging occupied space on the first floor, with the rest of the building remaining vacant.
